A recent historic building survey found 40% of buildings showed signs of Invasive Species germinating and developing on the stone or brickwork.
Ecosystem Invasive Species
This has lead to RockSolid becoming expert in understanding the lifecycle of these plants in order to properly remediate the problem. RockSolid have experience in treating Japanese Knotweed, Buddleia Davidii Bamboo and most other weeds that are classified as invasive species.
On a structure without a ready food source for nutrition an invasive species drops many more roots and the roots expand year on year causing cracking and delamination. As an example, Buddleia can in one season drop up to 40 roots and if the plant is 2m tall the roots can be up to 4m long. Each year the roots expand by up to 5-7mm. Without proper treatment damage will continue to increase or return time after time leading to significant cost to the property owner.
RockSolid have the most experienced team in the industry who understand the built infrastructure and know how best to remediate the root system.
